Clovinol supplementation at 250 mg enhances liver function by boosting antioxidant levels and aiding alcohol detoxification. In an 84-day study, Clovinol increased plasma GSH concentration 6x compared to synthetic glutathione supplementation, and significantly raised antioxidant enzyme levels of super oxide dismutase (SOD, +56%) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx, +49%).(1) Additionally, in another study, Clovinol supplementation improved liver detoxification of toxic metabolites and reduced acetaldehyde levels in heavy drinkers by 3x, speeding up its elimination from the blood by 65% and significantly minimized oxidative stress, inflammation markers, and lipid peroxidation associated with heavy alcohol use.(2) Depletion of key antioxidants, like glutathione (34.5%) and superoxide dismutase (92.5%) were also minimized when compared to placebo.(2)
In a 30-day study, Clovinol supplementation at 250 mg daily significantly reduced postprandial blood glucose by 16-17% within 12 days, and by 21.5% in healthy participants and 27.2% in pre-diabetics by the study’s end.(3) This reduction normalized postprandial glucose levels in the pre-diabetic group from 148.3 ± 11.88 mg/dL to 108 ± 3.86 mg/dL. Furthermore, in individuals with metabolic syndrome, daily Clovinol use over 84 days increased insulin levels by 43.52% compared to those in the synthetic Glutathione (s-GSH) group, where insulin levels rose just 3.01%.(1) Additionally, HbA1c % levels dropped significantly from 6.91 ± 0.22 to 5.28 ± 0.19 in those taking Clovinol, suggesting effective long-term glucose management and a reduction in hyperglycemia risk.(1)
Over 84 days, Clovinol supplementation at a low dose of 250 mg significantly improved lipid profiles compared to synthetic GSH use in healthy participants.(1) Those taking Clovinol experienced reductions of 23.14% in total cholesterol, 23.50% in triglycerides, and 27.60% in LDL cholesterol, while HDL cholesterol increased by 15.39% when compared to baseline values.(1)
